So allow me to share with you about our company and the coaching position.
My name is Hristo Hristov I am the founder, coach, and owner of fitness, health, and nutrition coaching company called
Higher Level Fitness in Saint Charles IL.
Our business is dedicated to helping men and women achieve their health and fitness goals through customized nutrition and fitness programs. But we are more than that, we are family. There are no bosses or know-it-all individuals. We all have our roles and we support each other to deliver the outcome for our clients, who we treat like a family as well

We looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, energetic, and most all people’s coach who can relate with and understands clients’ challenges, has empathy and compassion toward their situation, and is ready to start coaching some of our current clients.
We have 2 locations and our main gym is located at 761 N 17th Street Unit 1, Saint Charles, IL, 60174
We currently offer one-on-one customized fitness and nutrition coaching programs, group coaching programs for women and men. These programs educate, motivate, and support men and women to improve their health and fitness goals. All clients begin with an initial detailed Fitness Evaluation which leads to nutrition coaching, exercise program design, nutritional supplements, frequent fitness assessments here at our gym.
If you are hired for this coaching position, you’ll begin coaching clients in our facility on a part-time basis with the option for full-time.
Our gym offers a casual, fun environment, cutting-edge program design for movement, fitness, nutrition, and a lot of support and accountability, and you will have the opportunity to learn the inner workings of a successful personal training studio.
We are also very fair, respectful, and appreciative of our team. We like having fun and delivering highly valuable fitness and health solutions. You will be compensated fairly, treated like a highly valuable human being and respected coach (just like each of us would like to be treated), and we will certainly look for ways to pay you more for your efforts if they warrant it (we will provide you the path for it). Tasks You Will Be Performing.
- Frequent Fitness Evaluations: Ideally, you’ll have some fitness assessment skills and can test for: body composition, bodyweight, and various strength and flexibility tests. You do not need previous experience, but if you do, that’s a bonus.
- Track Clients Progress: In order to ensure a client’s success in our programs, you’ll be tracking progress, current successes, and challenges, reviewing client nutrition and exercise logs, and more on a weekly basis. It will be your responsibility to help clients feel comfortable, inspire them, and hold them accountable to his/her health and fitness program to ensure the best results possible.
- You will coach, educate and inspire clients to go through a variety of programs. You’ll receive coaching and training on our fitness system and programs, but you’ll be responsible for incorporating appropriate changes to ensure the best possible fit for each individual client. You’ll have to keep a detailed weekly progress report on the clients you’re working with and if challenges arise be responsible for coaching and motivating the client to ensure consistent progress.
- Demonstrate Proper Detailed Exercise Instruction: This is a big one. We will need you to be able to provide proper coaching, instruction, and motivation during a client’s training session. You should have a working knowledge of the human body (i.e. muscles, movements, functions, etc.) and be able to provide appropriate exercises for the client’s goals. Our approach is very big on the details
- Provide Ongoing Health and Fitness Education: Our 1 on 1 and group clients rely on us to solve all of their health and fitness needs. It is all of our responsibility and duty as Fitness Coaches to provide the clients we work with health and fitness education on various topics that will empower them to lead healthy lives forever, and you will be a part of the team, so it is vital for you to support our clients in those areas as well but don’t worry, we will support you every step of the way as well. You’ll be provided with educational tools and resources, will study them, and speak about them with the clients you work with. We also spend time covering this in our staff meetings.
- You will be respected by us and treated really well as a family member and you will respect us and the rest of our clients as well. Our clients are everything to us. We treat them like gold and since we open our doors to you, it makes sense for you to do the same.

Required Skills
These are the skills you must already have in order to qualify for this position:
- Good Communication Skills: You will be coaching our clients and they will become yours as well. They are everything to us. You must be comfortable conversing in-person and on the phone and know how to conduct yourself professionally and deliver clear instructions to the clients. We teach you everything you need to do during training sessions but we can’t teach you manners and professionalism.
- Other skills that are vital for the position are: having emotional intelligence, kindness, being present when communicating with clients, being non-judgemental, and having excitement to help them succeed as if their goals are yours
- People Skills and Personality: must LOVE working with people! As mentioned above you must be very comfortable working with people. This is an exciting gym and you must be able to show your clients energy and excitement while working with them.
- Health and Fitness Education: You need to be certified with nationally accredited personal training/group exercise organization and hold a current CPR certificate and should have a working knowledge of health and fitness.
Bonus Skills
If you have these additional skills, your resume will go right to the top of the stack (but if you don’t have these skills, you should still apply because these are not mandatory).
- Previous personal training experience (fitness studio, health club, in-home trainer, etc.)
- Basic nutrition knowledge.
- National Certification.
- Kinesiology/Exercise Science Degree.
